Early on in their days together, Buddy Belts' designer Roxanne noticed that every time she took her doxie Buddy for a walk, he would gag and cough.  Employing her years in art school, as both a student and a teacher, she got to work designing a harness that would be easy to use and keep Buddy safe and comfortable.

Buddy Belts' signature design features one buckle like traditional collars, but with one major difference – The Buddy Belt harness hugs your dog’s chest and fastens between the shoulder blades rather than around the neck. The streamlined design had no excess material, allowing for a low-cut neckline that prevents the harness from riding up near your dog’s throat. Two secure arm loops and a single strap allows for a simple step-in design that is easy to use and doesn't need to go over their head.

Sizing

To find the best fit for your dog :

1. Measure your dog's chest girth.  Measure around the widest part of the chest, directly behind the front legs. Make sure to get a snug measurement for a proper fit.
2. Confirm the weight of your pooch.
3. Select the correct size using this chart.

• Size 2 : 10-12" / 2-4 pounds
• Size 2.5 : 11-13" / 3-5 pounds
• Size 3 : 12-14" / 4-8 pounds
• Size 3.5 : 13-15" / 7-9 pounds
• Size 4 : 14-16" / 8-12 pounds
• Size 4.5 : 15-17" / 10-15 pounds
• Size 5 : 16-18" / 12-18 pounds
• Size 6 : 17-21" / 15-22 pounds
• Size 7 : 20-23" / 20-30 pounds
• Size 8 : 21-25" / 22-40+ pounds
